David Sugalski aka The Polish Ambassador released his new album Ecozoic on tuesday under the pay what you want platform that is becoming more and more prevalent these days. All of his previous albums are available this way as well through his official website. In just these quick few days it has become the second best selling album on bandcamp in all of bandcamps history, and has been the top selling album the past few days. The Oakland based DJ had this to say to his fans about the popularity of his new release:
"Ecozoic has been the #1 selling electronic album on Bandcamp for the past two days. #2 selling overall. The amazing thing is, is that Ecozoic is a "Name Your Price" album. If that's not an indication of how rad and generous you guys are, I don't know what is." - David Sugalski
Ecozoic is multi-genred with a mixture of some jamtronica ala Sound Tribe Sector 9, the choppy dubstep tracks of Bassnectar's Mesmerizing the Ultra album, and many other facets and sounds. I had the wonderful opportunity to listen to him perform at the Memory Waves Festival last month and was very pleased with what I heard. Anyway, check out the album, and if you enjoy it, consider hopping over to his bandcamp and throwing your money at him. If you can't afford to spare the cash, all he asks is you share it with friends (exactly what I'm doing with you right now) so that his music can be heard and enjoyed by more people:
"I give all of my music away for free. It's the least I can do for you, the people that are allowing me to do what I love. If you do or do not have the money to purchase this album, sharing it is the best way to support this music in it's growth and evolution. Thank you for being the biggest part of this project."
